The Cake Boutiqueby Chef Ellah

About Ellah

Ellah Nijsters opened The Cake Boutique in Sugar Land in 2021.

Born and raised in Manila, she began making cakes professionally in 2013 for the expat community in Singapore, then built a cottage bakery in Denver, Ellah's Cakery, before the family moved to Texas.

Training

Ellah holds a Culinary Arts degree from Johnson & Wales University, where she graduated summa cum laude as a pastry chef. She also holds certificates in cake decoration[, among them a master's certificate from the Knightsbridge School of Cake Decorating].

Besides the food handler's certificate the law asks for, she is a registered Food Safety Manager with the National Registry of Food Safety Professionals. The Cake Boutique has food liability insurance.

How she works

She bakes from a home studio rather than a shop[, and takes a limited number of orders each week]. Visits are by appointment, so that she can give you her full attention.

Every order is made fresh, from scratch and by hand, just the way you ordered it. Nothing comes from a box or a premade mix.
